Last match I went to see: Maidstone United 1-1 Sutton United, Tuesday 21st March 2017, Vanarama Conference.
I have been to the Gallagher quite on a number of occasions, never been to watch Maidstone in a league game. The most really times I have been is to watch Charity matches, and go to the events etc. The only times I have been to watch Maidstone was in a couple of friendlies, the one that stands out for me was their 2nd ever competive game there where they played Dagenham & Redbridge in a friendly, Maidstone fans started singing anti Gills songs, and me and the lads responded by saying Gills songs, was quite funny. Was nice at the end as Maidstone fans shook our hands despite them knowing we were Gills fans, due to the Gills-Maidstone rivalry etc. Due to the Gills - Maidstone rivalry which happened more in the 80's, I do dislike Maidstone and hope we don't ever play them really. It's good to see them progressing as a club and finally have themselves a home they can call home due to recent years having to groundshare with Sittingbourne, Ashford United etc. Only bad side as well is the 3G pitch at the Gallagher which I feel isn't needed, but enough said.
